How to reach Dhankar Lake
The nearest Airport is Kullu-Manali which is easily accesseble from Delhi. Bus and taxi facilities are available here. Tourists reach Dhankar Math by road. Joginder Nagar is the nearest railway station and lake is hardly 400 meters away from here. To reach Dhankar Lake one has to pass through  Kaza and Tabo city. After trekking for about an hour from Dhankar village, tourists reach Dhankar lake. It is located at the height of 14 thousand feet from the sea level.
The water of this lake is considered suitable for quenching thirst. In simple words, water can be drunk to quench thirst and tourists are advised to carry it. Tourists park their cars in the monastery and reach the lake after Trekking from here. Advised to carry protein and carbohydrate items, bananas and dry fruits when you go to Dhankar Lake. This maintains the energy level normal in the body. Also you can spend pleasure moments with nature in Spiti Valley.
