DC Rana, Deputy Commissioner, Chamba has elaborated in details and said that a three-day Dragon Boat Festival would be organized at Chamera Lake and Paragliding Festival would be organized in Khajjiyar near Dalhousie, in the month of October. Regarding the details of Paragliding Festival, Deputy Commissioner Rana said that search of suitable places is going on near Khajjiar. The motto behind paragliding is to attract tourists and people associated with tourism.
Where is Khajjiar
Khajjiyar village is located in plains of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, surrounded by mountains with a lake inside. Khajjiyar is famous in the world for its natural beauty and it is also known as the “Mini Switzerland”. A large number of tourists come to this place every year for paragliding. This festival is being organized by the administration to pursue the tourists. If you want to enjoy paragliding, definitely visit Khajjiyar at least once.
