During Ganesh Chaturthi the people always feel blessed and they show this love by seeking Bappa’s blessing to the different temples. Apart from all known temples of Bappa, there comes a very unique and special temple which is 120 feet long with a stunning architecture and surprisingly not situated in Maharashtra but in Gujarat.
Shri Siddhivinayak, Mahemadabad
There is a huge Ganesh temple on the banks of river Vatrak in Mehmedabad city, 25 km from Ahmedabad in Gujarat. The flame brought from Siddhi Vinayak Temple of Mumbai has been installed here. Therefore this temple has also been named Siddhivinayak. This huge temple is very famous for its amazing architecture. This temple is built as a huge replica of the idol of Lord Ganesha over a vast area of 600,000 square feet. This temple is 120 feet long, 71 feet high, and 80 feet wide. Here a supernatural design has been created using Australian technology and Rivet software has been used for the design.
Idols of Lord Ganesha from 10 countries
Siddhi Vinayak Temple is the largest temple in the country with the figure of Lord Ganapati. The height of this huge temple is more than 71 feet. An identical idol of Siddhi Vinayak Ganapati of Mumbai has been installed on the fourth floor of the temple. In this largest Ganesh temple of the country, Akhand Jyoti has been brought from Siddhi Vinayak Temple of Mumbai and installed. In this temple, replicas of Ganesha installed in other 10 countries of the world are shown. There is also a satsang hall on the second floor with the facility to perform bhajan-kirtan.
Thousands of people come on Ganesh Chaturthi
This Ganapati shaped temple is built at a height of 20 feet from the ground, in which the idol of Lord Ganesha has been installed at a height of 56 feet from the ground. Every year, on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi, thousands of devotees visit this temple to have darshan of the Lord. Devotees from different parts of the country come here to pray to Lord Ganesha. Aarti and puja are organized here. His favourite laddus are offered to Lord Ganesha. People believe that being pleased with this, God bestows blessings for the welfare of the people and fulfils everyone’s wishes.
