Vaccination Guidelines for International Travel: A new vaccine guidelines has been issued by the Government of India for people traveling abroad. As per new guideline, the second dose of Covishield can be taken any time after 28 days of the first dose, if somebody is proceeding for abroad. Right now, the government has declared a gap of 12 to 16 weeks between the first and second dose of Covishield.

In new guidelines, it has been cleared that the people who have been vaccinated  Covidshield , will be given a vaccination certificate for traveling abroad and passport number will also be mentioned on it. On other hand, Covaxin, the second available vaccine, is unable to qualify for it.

This exemption is not for all

This exemption has been given to those who are above 18 years of age and are planning to travel abroad by August 31. This includes people and students going abroad for jobs and studies, athletes attending the Tokyo Olympics and the staff accompanying them. This arrangement has been made only for these people.

In general, there is a  rule to maintain the the gap of at least 12 to 16 weeks between two consecutive doses of Covishield, but the second dose of vaccination can be administered early for those going abroad. A competent authority will be designated by the State Government for such permission in each district.

-The concerned officer will confirm about the interval of 28 days since the first dose.

– The authentication of the relevant documents on the basis of travel.

-Documents related to studies, such as admission forms or university documents.

– Offer letter of the job.

– Nomination for participation in Tokyo Olympics
