Mumbai Forts Everyone Should Visit Once!!

Mayanagari Mumbai is a well-known place in the world for Bollywood. On other hand, it is also known for religious and historical sites like Lal Bagh Cha Raja, Siddhi Vinayak Temple, Mahalakshmi Temple, Mumba Devi Temple, Haji Ali Dargah etc. are the major religious places.

The other places like Juhu Chowpatty, Band Stand, Gateway of India, Nariman Point, etc. are the worth sightseeing . Savory Fort

This fort was built in the year 1680 as a watcher at the time when Portuguese used to live in Mumbai. There is a narrow path to enter the Savory Fort from where you can enjoy wonderful views of the harbor.

Bandra Fort

This fort, built by the Portuguese in 1640, was used as a sentinel. Now a days this fort has turned into ruins, but still a large number of tourists definitely visit Bandra Fort. You must visit Bandra Fort when get a chance to visit Mumbai.

Worli Fort

This fort was built in 1675 and you can see the Gulf of Mahim from here when Mumbai was a city consisting of seven islands. At that time it was located in Worli village, the village of fishermen. There is a temple also inside the fort. Worli Fort can also be visited by you.

Bombay Fort

This fort was built by Portuguese at that time. when they built the Manor house. In between 1554–1570, this land was leased from King Orta of Portugal. You must see this fort once whenever you go to Mumbai.
