It is the largest Planetarium in Asia and placed second in the world. It is one of the vital Planetariums of India. Construction of the building is similar to a Buddhist stupa which is circular in shape. There are three Birla Planetarium in India as the second is located in Chennai and the third in Hyderabad. Birla Planetarium in Chennai is the first 360 degree sky theater of India. You can see the universe through a show in this planetarium. There is an astronomy gallery and laboratory also.
